Welcome!

The Biology Scholars Program (BSP) is an undergraduate program based out of the Office of Undergraduate Biology in collaboration with the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell University. The program is designed to support academic excellence for underrepresented students majoring in Biological Sciences.

Our Biology Scholars are students from economic, gender, ethnic, or cultural groups historically underrepresented in the various fields of biology, primarily interested in pursuing advanced degrees in science and / or medicine.

Student News & Awards
Congratulations to the following students!
Olumayowa (Maya) Dayo will be taking a course at Shoals Marine Laboratory on Appledore Island off the coast of Maine.
Kathleen Garcia will be conducting research with Dr. Greg Martin with the Boyce Thompson Institute for Plant Research this summer.
Philia Gau was one of only 20 students selected nationally to participate in the Howard Hughes Medical Institute's Exceptional Research Opportunities Program (EXROP). She will be conducting research with Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator Yuh-Nung at the University of California San Francisco.
Joy Nduka was selected as a Teaching Assistant / Residential Advisor for Biology Summer Bridge, an inquiry-based course and living/learning community for pre-freshmen who plan to major in life sciences or pursue a career in the health professions.
Kemar Trowers has been accepted to Case Western University's Summer Medical and Dental Education Program (SMDEP).
